Abstract. In the article the structural peculiarities of a specific phenomenon of poetic syntax are studied, which is called enjambment. Enjambment important role in the rhythmic and syntactical organization of poetic line makes it an object of the intent attention of many scientists researching fiction text structure. The contrastive analysis of the rhythmometric characteristics of the main structural types of enjambment in the poetry of one of the most outstanding English poets-romantics W. Wordsworth allows revealing the most relevant peculiarities of the rhythmic-syntactic structure of poetic line in the studied poetic text.
