PARTY AND SOVIET PRESS OF THE FIRST THIRD OF THE 1920S: DEVELOPMENT PROBLEMS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF TAMBOV PROVINCE NEWSPAPERS)

Abstract. The article studies one of the aspects of party and soviet press system formation in Tambov province at the beginning of the 1920s. Special attention is paid to the factors that hindered the development of the local press and led to its crisis in 1922-1923. Revealing the ways out of this crisis, the author comes to the conclusion that they were connected with the joint actions of party leadership and the local press.
