EQUILIBRIUM POTENTIALS OF ALLOYS PB-SBBI(0.5-0.5) IN THE MELT KCL-PBCL2

Abstract. The equilibrium potentials of alloys Pb-SbBi (0.5-0.5) are measured by EMF-method in a wide range of the concentrations of lead within temperature range from 744 K to 917 K in the melt KCl-PbCl 2 containing 50 mol % of PbCl 2 . The polyterms of equilibrium potentials are linear over the entire range of temperatures under study. According to the experimental data the activities and activity coefficients of lead alloys are determined, and the partial thermodynamic characteristics of lead are calculated. It is ascertained that minor negative deviations from Raoult’s law are observed.
