Abstract. In the article some problems of the Tatar education development in the 90s of the XX th century are considered. The main conceptions of national education development in the Republic of Tatarstan are analyzed. The general and different interpretations of the Tatar education content are revealed, the phases of developing these conceptions in the Republic are defined.
