ESTABLISHMENT OF LITERARY KOMSOMOL PRIZES AS ELEMENT OF STATE IDEOLOGICAL CONTROL IN USSR IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XX TH CENTURY

Abstract. The article considers the establishment history of literary Komsomol prizes as an element of the state ideological control in the USSR in the second half of the XX th century. By the example of the establishment of Lenin Komsomol Prize by the Central Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, the literary prize named after N. Ostrovsky, the Komsomol literary prizes of the Ukrainian SSR, the author shows, how the state created a reliable instrument to support the ideological direction of the existed political system that stimulated and directed creative youth.
