ACTIVITY OF SOUTH ASIAN ASSOCIATION FOR REGIONAL COOPERATION (SAARC): ECONOMICAL ASPECT

Abstract. The article deals with the economical aspect of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) activity – the largest integration bloc in the world. Plans and measures for the implementation of integration economical component from the moment of SAARC creation to our time are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the research of the community’s achievements in South Asian Free-Trade Area (SAFTA) creation, to the characteristics of advantages and drawbacks, and also to the prospects of the region countries integration model in economic sphere.
