CHANGES IN RATIO OF PERIPHERAL BLOOD AGRANULOCYTES AND AGRANULOCYTOPOIESIS IN ANIMALS WITH EXPERIMENTAL HYPOTHERIOSIS

Abstract. The article reveals the changes in the agranulocytic part of blood system in case of experimental hypotheriosis caused in rats by Mercazole injection during eight weeks. Morphological methods show that after Mercazole withdrawal the phagocytic activity of monocytes/macrophages is reduced, lymphocytosis followed by lymphopenia is registered, the limphatization of red bone marrow progresses and central and peripheral lymphopoiesis is activated. One month later hypotheriosis persists, but the number of lymphocytes in blood normalizes, indicating the toxic nature of the detected changes.
