SPECIFICS OF INTERPRETING OPERATIC AND VOCAL REPERTOIRE IN A CONCERTMASTER CLASS

Abstract. The article discusses the issues of interpreting operatic and vocal repertoire in a concertmaster class as one of the important aspects of a teacher-musician’s professional training. The author briefly describes the history of the formation of opera genre, the forms of a solo operatic statement, identifies the specifics of accompanying opera fragments and difficulties arising before the student-pianist in the process of adopting operatic and vocal repertoire. The paper offers pieces of advice to overcome them.
