ISSUES OF URBAN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION IN THE URAL REGION IN PRE-REVOLUTIONARY RESEARCHERS WORKS

Abstract. The article describes the problems of the history of urban education in the Ural region in the second half of the XIX - at the beginning of the XX century. The main research works of the capitalist period devoted to this issue are examined. The focus of the authors attention is on the growth of primary and secondary education, as well as female and non-Russian education. By sufficiently extensive and diverse material the researchers show different aspects and details of educational activity in the Ural region during the period under review. The study reflects the works of authors different by occupation, age, gender, beliefs. They are teachers, civil servants, churchmen. Such integrated approach provides an objective vision of the stated problem.
