DYNASTIC POLICY OF MUSCOVY AND THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE: DIALOGUE BETWEEN ASIA AND EUROPE

Abstract. The article analyzes the mechanisms of imperial evolution, determines the degree of the influence of the informal family relationships of the ruling dynasty on its political preferences and on the way of governance in the context of the consideration of Russia as a state developing on the border between East and West and perceiving a "mixture" of the European and Asian cultural influences.
