REGIONAL CONTENT MATERIALS AS MEANS OF INCREASING MOTIVATION TO LEARNING FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract. Motivation is one of the main factors of the success of educational process. The search of motivational basis when teaching a foreign language is still a topical and polemic issue. The author reveals and proves a need for the purposeful use of regional content materials when teaching students a foreign language. The article defines a role of regional studies materials in the development of motivation to learning a language and involving a personality in educational process. During an experimental test the prospective use of the potential of regional content materials as a motivational basis for teaching a foreign language is proved.
