Abstract. The work is carried out within the framework of linguistic-culturological research. The object of the study is the type "official", the value features of this type in deontological aspect are considered as a subject of the analysis. The research material was official documents, reference books and data received from the survey of the young Russian speakers. The modelling of the type showed that officials should be as close to the model personality as possible: act as a standard of behavior and an example to follow.
