HISTORY AND MYTH IN PHILOSOPHICAL CONCEPTION OF FRANK ANKERSMIT

Abstract. The paper analyses the philosophical and historical conception of Frank Ankersmit. Special attention is paid to the issue of correlation between historical and mythological ways of the past comprehension. In interpretation of historical experience as nostalgic one Ankersmit overcomes traditional contrasting of history and myth, and considers the myth as a structural element of historical texts creating.
