SPECIFICS OF INTERPRETING L. BEETHOVEN’S EARLY SONATAS ON THE BASIS OF M. I. GRINBERG’S PERFORMANCE AND NOTES

Abstract. The article analyzes Mariya Izrailevna Grinberg’s performance style by the example of her interpretations of L. Beethoven’s early sonatas. Analyzing the German composer’s cycle recording and the pianist’s notes in the score the paper concludes on the basic features and methods of her work. The researcher systematizes and structures the key aspects, on which Mariya Izrailevna focused her attention with a view to identify interrelation between performance and pedagogical activity of the pianist and to apply the research findings in practice.
