FACTORS INFLUENCING DURATION OF COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

Abstract. The article carries out an analysis of factors influencing duration of cognitive-behavioral therapy. Comparative characteristics of various types of psychotherapy are given. Their interaction and contradictions are examined. The study reveals the basic provisions that should be considered during therapy implementation. Criteria determining the choice of the main goal of therapy are singled out. Existential needs and their combination with the cognitive approach in therapy are analyzed. The paper reveals factors impeding progress in therapy and ways to overcome them.
