SULPHUROUS INHIBITORS OF CHROMIZED CAST IRON CORROSION

Abstract. The paper is devoted to studying the mechanism and kinetics of chromized cast iron corrosive destruction in the presence of sulfurous inhibitors: glutathione and cysteine. The authors provide a comparative analysis of the protective action of the mentioned inhibitors in acid chlorous mediums. According to the researchers, the cysteine abscopal effect is conditioned by the formation of sparingly soluble ferrum cysteinate on the alloy surface. The article presents the results of the photometric identification of chromized cast iron corrosion products.
