AMBIVALENCE OF THE KAZAKHSTANIS’ RELIGIOUS SELF-IDENTIFICATION

Abstract. The article analyzes the peculiarities of religious situation in Kazakhstan in the context of global tendencies. The author substantiates the statement about the ambivalence of the Kazakhstanis’ religious self-identification. The causes of its formation are analyzed. The empirical basis of the study is presented by the materials of sociological polls conducted by different analytical centers of Kazakhstan.
