PROBLEM OF FARM ANIMALS ETHOLOGY AS A COMPONENT OF UKRAINIAN SCIENTISTS RESEARCHES OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE XX - THE BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURY

Abstract. The article describes the evolution of farm animals ethology as a basic component of zootechnical science. The author argues that ethology started to develop rapidly from the second half of the 1960s due to livestock industry formation. The paper summarizes the contribution of domestic and foreign scientists in developing the conceptual theoretical and methodological provisions of farm animals ethology. Special attention is paid to Ukrainian scientists scientific search for methodology to accelerate animals adaptation for technological elements and operation conditions at mechanized farms, to provide their comprehensive ethological evaluation.
