MUCOVISCIDOSIS AS A FACTOR OF DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN’S BRONCHOECTATIC DISEASE

Abstract. The article examines the pulmonary form of mucoviscidosis that is one of the main factors of bronchoectatic disease, which is more common than it was previously diagnosed. Change in the functional state of the pancreas in case of the respiratory form of mucoviscidosis indicates dissociated exocrine pancreatic insufficiency for the majority of patients and for a smaller part of patients it means hypofunction of the organ. It is also necessary to differentiate between the respiratory form of mucoviscidosis complicated by development of chronic inflammation in the lungs and bronchoectatic disease of other etiology. This contributes to proper selection of a complex of therapeutic measures.
