REPRESENTATION OF THE OB-UGRIC COSMOLOGY IN V. SHESTALOV’S SCIENTIFIC AND CREATIVE PRACTICE

Abstract. The article examines the Ob-Ugric mythological worldview represented in compositions by the Mansi composer and folk music researcher V. Shestalov. The study of the musician’s cosmological model is conducted by the comparative analysis of his scientific papers and creative works. Simultaneously the author compares V. Shestalov’s world model with available scientific researches in the sphere of Ugric mythology.
