DETERMINATION OF PRODUCTION SPEED OF STRAIGHT-LINE-SEAM PIPES OUT OF HIGH-ALLOY STEELS

Abstract. The article deals with the stressedly-deformed state of the pipe billet in the caliber of the support-welding unit. It is noted that in order to intensify the process of the production of straight-line-seam pipes out of high-alloy steels and alloys using the argon-arc welding method it is necessary to develop a methodology for calculating maximum permissible speed regimes. A formula is proposed for calculating the speed of pipe production. To increase efficiency of electric welding pipe production, it is necessary to reduce the unloading stresses of the pipe billet and increase the zone of compression stresses in the caliber of the support-welding unit.
