STUDY OF ETHNO-SPECIFIC CONCEPTS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE ELECTIVE COURSE AS A METHOD OF FORMING LINGUOCULTUROLOGICAL COMPETENCE OF PUPILS OF THE SPECIALIZED SCHOOL

Abstract. The article is devoted to the description of the technology of studying ethno-specific concepts in the framework of the elective course "Basic Notions of the English Mentality" at the specialized school. Specificity of work with authentic texts on the topic under study is considered. Introduction of a linguo-culturally oriented elective course into teaching process will contribute to knowledge deepening, as well as to further development of skills and abilities within each of the components of the foreign-language communicative competence. In-depth study of ethno-specific concepts will provide necessary "immersion" of pupils into foreign cultural environment.
