ADDRESS AS MULTIFUNCTIONAL AND MULTISTATUS SYNTACTIC PHENOMENON

Abstract. The functions and status of address are considered in the article. Address may appear in speech as a simple independent sentence, half-predicative syntactic unit being a part of complicated sentence or as an introductory element of a sentence. It has nine functions. At the same time one function can dominate over the others. But the nominative function of an addressee is permanent.
