Abstract. The authors discuss the notion of professional orientation and its components; reveal the components development factors and the psychological-pedagogical conditions that meet these factors and describe the basic approaches and principles of foreign languages communicative-oriented teaching ??at higher education institution in terms of the appropriateness of its implementation for students' professional orientation formation.
