STRATEGY OF FRENCH POETIC TEXT INTERPRETATION

Abstract. The author considers the features of French poetic text interpretation by the example of poem "Variations on Carnival of Venice" by Theophile Gautier, which consists of four chapters, united by the time and place of action - Carnival in Venice. Author’s idea of Venice music eternity is implemented in the text via the system of motives and repetition mechanism, which analysis helps understand the meaning of the work.
