METAPHOR AS MEANS OF EMOTION ANGST IMPLEMENTATION IN THE GERMAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The author considers the concept "Angst" , as well as the ways of its implementation in the German language. The study of the concept "Angst" in the language is one of the promising directions in cognitive linguistics. The emotion of "fear" is one of the most powerful emotions experienced by the person, and different language means are used for its representation. One of the expressive language functions, conveying the emotion "fear" in the language, is a metaphor. The author pays attention to the metaphorical means of basic emotions transmission, uses German authors’ works of fiction as the factual material, as well as the analysis of text corpora data, and sets the aim to create her own classification of metaphorical means of concept "Angst" representation in the German language.
