Abstract. The author reveals the features of world perception by the indigenous peoples of Yakutia, in particular, the idea of ??the Universe structure as consisting of three worlds: the Upper, Middle and Lower. The Nature of the Middle World, which is sacred to the people, is vividly described in Yakut peoples’ literature. The peoples of the North are characterized by the veneration of spirits-hosts.
