ORIGINALITY OF MADNESS THEME SOLUTION IN STORY "FROM TIME IMMEMORIAL (TSAR)" BY L. N. ANDREEV

Abstract. The author discusses one of the fundamental motives of Leonid Andreev’s creative works – the motif of madness, and considers the originality of theme solution by the example of unpublished during writer’s life story "From Time Immemorial (Tsar)": writer’s rethinking of the tradition of God’s fools representation in native literature, the philosophical understanding of the problem "the madness of the world", writer’s attention to the situation of individual madness and the madness of crowd.
