ARTISTIC STYLE – DISCOURSE – DIALECT

Abstract. The article considers the features of discourse theory regulations application to the study of the medieval literature works style. The attempt to analyze this phenomenon basing on the synthesis of views contained in ancient rhetoric and also their rethinking in the Middle Ages is undertaken. Special attention is paid to the dialect as a linguistic component of the style category, and the stylistic potential of dialecticisms use is analyzed.
