MYTHO-POETIC IMAGES "EGG", "BIRD", "SERPENT" IN WORLD CULTURE

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the content of three mytho-poetic images – "egg", "bird" and "serpent". The purpose of the research is to demonstrate clearly the basic meanings inherent in these images, and also their interconnection with each other and the World Tree image. The result of the undertaken research is the creation of the holistic idea about the three mytho-poetic images in the context of their artistic meanings interconnection, and also in relation to the world culture central symbol – arbor mundi . The novelty of the research is connected with the author’s attempt to trace the connection of the three mytho-poetic images, which are the key ones for East and West cultures, with the dominant of universal artistic symbols triad – the World Tree.
