QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION OF REPETITION AND COMPLEXITY OF VOCABULARY IN THE CORPUS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEXTBOOK

Abstract. The article considers the procedure of linguistic evaluation of an English language textbook on the basis of corpus approach. The special attention is paid to the lexical completion of a textbook. Analysis of language material is carried out according to the criteria of repetition of the active vocabulary and adequacy for the level of language competence. The conclusions of the research are supported by the appropriate quantitative indices.
