INTERTEXTUALITY AS A MEANS OF IMAGE FORMATION IN THE HEADLINES OF MEDIA TEXTS

Abstract. The article reveals the peculiarities of image formation through associative relations which arise in the process of perception of information-expressive cultural context in the epistemic headline of mass media publication. The author proves convincingly by concrete examples that the reminiscence which is carried out through precedent words, word combinations and phrases is the most effective way of influence upon mass audience and public opinion formation.
