INNOVATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING AND STUDY

Abstract. The article is devoted to the consideration of some aspects of a new direction of online education development - Massive Open Online Courses. The author touches upon the topic of the advantages and disadvantages of MOOCs as a platform, which is able to change the structure of education process in the future. Special attention is paid to the prospects and possibilities of the use of the English language in MOOCs, the application of MOOCs technology in foreign language teaching.
