THE IMAGE OF A DOG IN THE RUSSIAN AND CHINESE LINGUISTIC PICTURES OF THE WORLD (BY THE MATERIAL OF IDIOMATIC EXPRESSIONS)

Abstract. The article deals with a steady use of the lexeme "dog" in the Russian and Chinese idiomatic expressions, which has allowed conducting the analysis of negative and positive associative meanings of phraseological units with the lexeme "dog". Having compared the phraseological units, the author substantiates the statement that wildlife, the model of behavior and the mechanism of metaphor formation influence the human world perception and the mechanism of metaphor formation.
