THE PECULIARITIES OF DEFECTIVE PARADIGM OF SPANISH NOUNS - THE NAMES OF CLOTHES AND ACCESSORIES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the issues of theoretical understanding of the problem of categorical semantics of number and conception of grammatical category of quantity in linguistics, which is considered as a two-sided unity of content and form. By the material of the vocabulary of a contemporary Spanish literary language the grammatical forms with a defective paradigm from the point of view of an expressed meaning are presented. The analysis is conducted on the corpus of nouns, denoting the pieces of clothing and accessories, which are distributed into lexico-semantic groups (gender, style, season, the sphere of application).
