CONCEPT "CONSTRUCTION" AS A LINGUISTIC PHENOMENON AND AS AN INSTRUMENT TO DESCRIBE THE AUXILIARY WORDS OF PREPOSITIONAL TYPE

Abstract. The article discusses the concept "construction" from the viewpoint of its relevance at the modern developmental stage of the domestic and world linguistics. By the example of the certain syntactic structures with the derivative prepositions and new formations of prepositional nature the author illustrates the functioning of structural approach to the linguistic facts. In particular, the paper shows that the description of the derivative auxiliary words through the concept "syntactic construction" allows identifying the specifics of their functioning.
