CONVERSION OF THE IMAGE "SONNENBLUME" (SUNFLOWER) IN THE LYRICS BY G. TRAKL

Abstract. Despite the fact that the scientific interest to various sides of the creative work by G. Trakl doesn’t weaken, some aspects of his poetry remains insufficiently studied. One of such aspects is the system of flowers’ images, playing an important role in the creative work and metaphysics of the poet. The paper considers the innovative character of the representation of a sunflower image in the lyrics by G. Trakl in the context of history of the German literature. For comparison the analysis of poetic movements from protestant mystics and baroque to naturalism and expressionism is given.
