THE PROBLEM OF TEACHING POLYSEMANTIC PARTICLES OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE TO AMERICAN STUDENTS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE PARTICLE ЖЕ)

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of teaching polysemantic connotative vocabulary (by the example of the particle "же"). The results of the study of explanatory and learner’s dictionaries, and also materials of National Corpus of the Russian language are given, which have allowed making classification of the meanings of the particle "же" , and also revealing a group of the most connotatively loaded among them, presenting a particular difficulty while teaching the Russian language to foreigners.
