CONSPIRATIVISM IN THE AMERICAN LINGUOCULTURE

Abstract. The article touches on the conception of "conspirativism" which is defined as a variation of mythological thinking; the latter is characterized by the dominance of the concept "conspiracy" in the conceptual and linguistic pictures of the world of a personality. The author describes the specifics of "conspirativistic" picture of the world which is represented in the American political discourse. The paper analyzes the evolution of conspirativism in the USA, emphasizes the psychological foundation of this phenomenon.
