THE PERCEPTIVE READINESS FOR INTERACTION WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF OTHER CULTURES AS A CONDITION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF FOREIGN CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION

Abstract. The article gives the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of cross-cultural communication in the framework of teaching foreign language. Processes and mechanisms, based on the perception of a communication partner, belonging to another culture, are described. The role of perceptive readiness for cross-cultural communication in the process of interaction is substantiated. The author’s three-level concept of the process of development of cross-cultural communication skills is presented.
