THE YAKUT LANGUAGE IN MASS MEDIA: SOCIO-LINGUISTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE REGIONAL TELEVISION (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE NATIONAL BROADCASTING COMPANY "SAKHA")

Abstract. An attempt is made to explain the essence of the modern state of the Yakut language, to point out the topical zones of its functioning depending on the socio-linguistic parameters and to evaluate the language by the modern language speakers in the conditions of the active language competition of the Russian and the Yakut languages. Socio-linguistic and psycho-linguistic methods are used in the research of the quality of the oral and written Yakut speech on the republican television and revealing a socio-linguistic portrait of a modern editor and presenter.
