GENRE FEATURES OF NOVEL "WITHOUT FAMILY" BY HECTOR MALOT

Abstract. The article is devoted to the identification of genre distinctness in the novel "Without family" by H. Malot. It is revealed that in its genre characteristics the novel of H. Malot combines the features of a family chronicle, educational novel, travel novel and adventure novel (adventurous novel). Also, according to the depth of revealing the characters and realia of the reality that is contemporary to the writer, the novel can be considered as a model of a social-psychological novel.
