ON INTENSIFICATION OF A STATEMENT IN THE ETHNOCULTURAL ASPECT

Abstract. The article touches on the problem of interaction of language and culture, examines the means representing the specifics of national mentality in the language, considers the cultural value dominants influencing the process of communication within the framework of Russian, French, English and American national cultures. Communicative conventions of the investigated linguocultural communities condition the possibility to analyze the level of emotionality of a statement in terms of the intensification scale.
