LINGUO-CULTURAL PHENOMENON OF LONDON TEXT OF THE ENGLISH LITERATURE

Abstract. The article studies the linguo-cultural phenomenon of London text of the English literature. Basing on the analysis of representation and interpretation of the key concepts LONDON, DEATH, DAY, NIGHT the authors come to the conclusion about the features of the super-textual world view that is typical of it. The components of a super-text are combined by the image of the city that lives a complex dual life. The research is carried out by the material of J. Greenwood, Ch. Dickens and S. Kinsella.
