Abstract. The author dwells on the possibility to analyze the emotional component of a literary work relying on the integration of the different spheres of knowledge, such as linguistics, literary criticism, psychology. The findings allow concluding on the necessity to analyze the language of world perception as a foundation for the formation of intuitive understanding and empathy on the basis of implicit and explicit components of a whole literary text.
