SUFFIXES OF THE PLURAL OF NOUNS IN THE KARATA LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the formation of the plural of nouns in the Karata language which has a clearly arranged system. The Karata language is one of the eight Andic languages included into the Avar-Andic-Tsezic subgroup of the Eastern Caucasian branch of the Ibero-Caucasian languages. The category of plurality in the Karata language is formed by a great number of different general Andic suffixes, the most popular and common among them are the suffixes -би, -ди.
