TRADITIONAL FOOD OF YAKUTS AS SOURCE OF VITAL ENERGY (BY THE MATERIAL OF HEROIC EPOS - OLONKHO)

Abstract. This article considers the Yakuts’ traditional food as a source of vital energy by the example of a number of texts of heroic epos - olonkho. The author pays special attention to the identification of the components of the Yakuts’ traditional food as a component of the people’s material culture in the epic texts. Olonkho describes mainly koumiss as a drink for "heroes" among other dairy products that come in a set of old traditional food of the Yakuts. Guests are treated not only with koumiss, but also with other national dishes.
