THE CATEGORY OF CASE IN THE INGUSH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article covers the relevant issues related to the case as a word-transforming grammatical category; the author examines the specifics of functioning and meanings of the Ingush cases. The case system of the Ingush language is determined by the peculiarities of its grammatical system, integrity of the forms to express the appropriate meanings. Ingush language, along with the other Caucasian languages, has a developed case system. The difficulty is conditioned by the existence of the several derivative forms of the locative.
