DEVELOPING INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCE WHILE TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN MULTI-LINGUOCULTURAL EDUCATIONAL SPACE

Abstract. The relevance of the problem under discussion is associated with growing difficulties while trying to achieve tolerant co-existence in the modern multi-ethnic world and the role of interaction between language and culture in educating a multicultural personality. By examples from the life of Dagestan multinational society the author justifies a conclusion on the necessity to consider ethno-centric attributions while teaching a foreign language with the purpose to develop skills and abilities of intercultural competence.
