GENRE RESERVES OF SHAKESPEARE’S "SONNETS" IN THE RUSSIAN TRANSLATION INTERPRETATIONS OF THEIR CYCLIC ORGANIZATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to the important problem of genre aspects in the analysis of the translation transformation of Shakespeare’s "Sonnets", considered not as a simple set of individual poems, but as a single poetic cycle. Arguing about the diversity of these genre projections of the Russian translators in the XIX-XX centuries (Nikolai Gerbel', Vladimir Mikushevich, Igor' Fradkin et al.), the author draws the conclusions about how each translator opens the internal reserves of the sonnet genre.
